Todi

DEFINED ONE OF THE MOST LIVABLE TOWNS ON EARTH FOR ITS SIZE, CLIMATE, HILLTOP LOCATION AND FOR ITS HARMONIOUS RELATIONSHIP TO ITS SURROUNDINGS.

Todi’s unique fascination comes from the stone buildings, picturesque winding streets, medieval wells, arches, sudden ascents and descents that create various prospective and sudden views of faraway valleys, hills and mountains.

In the centre of Todi is the long rectangular Piazza del Popolo, considered one of the most beautiful squares in Italy, onto which faces the Town Hall and also the Duomo, church of the XI century.

Todi’s most striking church, however, is on the flank of the city hill, just outside the walls and one of Italy’s finest Renaissance churches: Santa Maria della Consolazione.

Todi is also renowned for the Todi Art Festival which usually takes place in the last week of July. It is an annual overview of theatre and lyrical prose, dance, music and ethnic, visual arts and literary meetings.

If you are planning your wedding in Todi, there are a lot of options to choose from, you can have a civil wedding in the beautiful ancient Town Hall which leads onto the gorgeous Piazza del Popolo or a Catholic wedding in one of the beautiful churches in the Todi area such as the marvelous Renaissance church Santa Maria della Consolazione, a smaller church in the centre of Todi or also in a small church in the surrounding area. If you are planning a symbolic wedding ceremony the options are endless.

For the wedding reception there are an infinity of options, you could have it in a typical Umbrian Trattoria, in an Agriturismo in the surrounding area, in a local restaurant or in a beautiful villa with pool immersed in the green countryside with a catering service.
